Arthroscopy

In this lesson, we will describe what arthroscopy is along with what disorders of the musculoskeletal system this test aids in diagnosing.  We will also identify some contraindications to performing an arthroscopy that nurses need to be aware of to ensure client safety. Finally, we will review nursing interventions for before and after the procedure to promote safety, infection prevention, and minimizing potential complications.
