Asthma

In this lesson, we are going to go over asthma and identify causes and risk factors for developing this inflammatory respiratory disorder.  Diagnostics used to confirm the disorder along with testing for underlying causes of asthma will be reviewed as well. Medications to treat and manage symptoms and side effects of medications will then be assessed, which will also help to guide nursing interventions.  Lastly we will go over important client education topics to help prevent and manage symptoms of this potentially chronic respiratory disorder.
