Bell’s Palsy

In this lesson, we will discuss what Bell’s palsy is and distinguish some causes and risk factors for developing this neurological disorder.  We will identify signs and symptoms of Bell’s palsy along with potential complications of the disorder nurses will focus on assessing for. Finally, we will discuss medications and treatment options used to manage symptoms of Bell’s palsy along with priority nursing interventions aimed at safety and prevention of injury and infection.
