Bone Marrow Aspiration

In this lesson, we will go over the procedure of bone marrow aspiration and discuss how it is used to diagnose some hematological disorders.  We will review priority nursing interventions for working with clients before and after a bone marrow aspiration and identify potential complications of the procedure that nurses will be monitoring for.   Finally we will introduce important client teaching topics for after the procedure to prevent complications.
