Bone Marrow Transplant

In this lesson, we will review the reasons for performing a bone marrow transplant.  We will also assess the function of a stem cell and identify two types of stem cells.  Then we will go over a bone marrow transplant procedure along with potential complications during and after that nurses will assess for.  Finally, we will go over nursing assessments and interventions for after a bone marrow transplant to provide safety and infection control.
