Bowel Elimination

In this lesson, we will discuss bowel elimination and review some common bowel dysfunctions that nurses need to be familiar with.   We will go over signs and symptoms of these disorders along with treatment methods, including medications and dietary changes used for symptoms management.  Finally we will take a look at priority nursing interventions aimed at education and assessment for complications.
