Breast Cancer

In this lesson, we will identify some causes and risk factors for developing breast cancer.  We will also review assessment findings and testing used to confirm the diagnosis.  We will discuss medical and surgical treatments for breast cancer along with the nurse’s role in caring for clients after surgery for breast cancer.  Finally we will go over some important client education topics to promote health and prevent and monitor potential complications of treatments.
