Cardiac Tamponade

In this lesson, we will define cardiac tamponade and identify causes and risk factors for developing this heart condition.   We will also take a look at signs and symptoms of cardiac tamponade along with signs and symptoms of potential complications nurses will assess for.  Finally we will determine treatment methods and priority nursing interventions regarding treating symptoms and preventing complications.
