Chemotherapy

In this lesson, we will review what chemotherapy is, some types of chemotherapy medications, and how they are used to treat certain types of cancer and autoimmune dysfunction.  We will also discuss potential complications and side effects of chemotherapy that nurses will assess for along with nursing interventions to help manage them.  Finally, we will go over client education topics regarding chemotherapy aimed at minimizing side effects, preventing complications, and maintaining comfort after chemotherapy treatments.
