Cleft Lip & Palate

In this lesson we will discuss what Cleft Lip and Palate are, and the causes and possible risk factors. We’ll then talk about assessments, and priority nursing interventions, including client education.

1. Describe Cleft Lip and Palate. Describe 2-4 signs and symptoms for each condition, and 2 possible complications.
2. Describe 2-3 risk factors for Cleft Lip and Palate, 2 methods of diagnosis, 2 types of treatment, and 2-3 priority nursing interventions.
