Depression

In this lesson, we will explain the diagnosis of Depression along with different types of depressive disorders.  We will review signs and symptoms of depressive disorders as well as causes and risk factors for developing this type of mental health issue.  We will then review treatments and priority assessments along with nursing interventions for clients with forms of depression. Finally, we will review medications used to treat depressive disorders and identify side effects of medications that nurses need to assess for and educate clients about.
