In this lesson, we will review what electromyography is and how it is performed.  We will compare electromyography with nerve conduction studies and determine how both tests aid in diagnosing disorders of the musculoskeletal system.  We will then identify nursing interventions for before and after the procedure along with client teaching topics to manage pain and prevent infection.
