Esophagogastroduodenoscopy & Endoscopy Ultrasound

In this lesson, we will define what a esophagogastroduodenoscopy is and how it is used with endoscopic ultrasound to diagnose disorders of the gastrointestinal system.  We will discuss nursing interventions for before and after the procedures along with potential complications that nurses will monitor for. Finally, we will identify some priority nursing assessments and interventions after the procedure to prevent complications.
