In this lesson, we will identify some causes and risk factors for developing a folic acid deficiency.  We will go over signs and symptoms of folic acid deficiencies along with some diagnostic testing used to confirm the diagnosis.  We will then review medications and nutritional recommendations used to treat and manage this disorder. Finally we will review some potential complications that can occur as a result of untreated folic acid deficiency.
