Glycosylated Hemoglobin (A1C)

What is a glycosylated hemoglobin test? Are we testing for anemia or a blood disorder? Not exactly.  In this lesson we will go over the importance of monitoring blood sugar levels, normal blood sugar levels, and the indications for a glycosylated hemoglobin, better known as A1C, test.  We will also review normal results and methods used to maintain long term blood glucose levels.
