Grief and Loss

In this lesson, we will define and discuss grief and loss.  We will review some of the causes of grief along with the five common stages of the grieving process.  We will go through both physical and emotional signs and symptoms of grief along with appropriate nursing interventions that can be used to support clients experiencing grief and loss.  Finally, we will compare and contrast the medical diagnosis of Depression and the depression experienced during the grieving process.
