HIPAA

Throughout your education, you may have heard the term HIPAA.  What exactly does this mean though and why is it so important in healthcare privacy practices?  In this lesson, we are going to review HIPAA and outline the nurse’s responsibility in ensuring HIPAA privacy practices are observed throughout the healthcare setting.
