HIV Test

In this lesson, we will summarize what HIV is and methods that can be used to screen for this type of infection.  We will also go over some diagnostic testing that can help monitor the progression or effectiveness of medications.  We will review some different testing methods that are available for both clinical and home use. Finally, we will go over nursing interventions for before, during, and after an HIV test to provide safety,  infection control, and prevention measures.
