How to Study Electrolytes

In this lesson, we are going to go over what electrolytes are and what their general functions are in the body.  We will introduce some common types of electrolytes that nurses need to be very familiar with. To help with studying electrolytes, we will finish the lesson by demonstrating how to create flash cards that will be useful in memorizing lab values and common signs and symptoms of electrolyte imbalances.

1. List the main electrolytes in the body that nurses monitor levels of
2. Recognize normal parameters for electrolyte levels
3. Create flashcards for studying electrolytes
