Hypernatremia

Do you know what the function of sodium is within the body?  We are going to answer that question t in this lesson and then identify some causes and risk factors for developing hypernatremia, or high sodium levels.  We will also look at signs and symptoms that nurses will need to carefully assess for. Finally, we will review priority nursing interventions and medical treatments along with potential complications the condition can cause that would require additional treatment.
