Hypertonic Solutions

In this lesson, we are going to review hypertonic solutions, how they are used for fluid therapy, and give some examples of types of these fluids.  There are special considerations that need to be used with these fluids that differ from other types of IV fluids that you will need to be aware of.  We will also review potential side effects and contraindications of these fluids nurses need to be familiar with.
