In this lesson, we will identify what normal intracranial pressure is and discuss what can cause an increase in it.  We will look at how increased intracranial pressure, or pressure within the head on the brain can affect bodily functions and level of consciousness causing a variety of signs and symptoms.  We will also look at how increased intracranial pressure is diagnosed and then at important nursing interventions and medications for managing symptoms and preventing complications.
