Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

In this lesson, we will discuss irritable bowel disease and review some common causes and risk factors for developing it.   We will go over signs and symptoms along with testing used to confirm the diagnosis. We will then look at treatment methods, including medications and dietary changes used for symptoms management.  Finally we will take a look at priority nursing interventions aimed at education and assessment for complications.
