Kaposi’s Sarcoma

In this lesson, we will identify what Kaposi’s Sarcoma is and risk factors for developing this form of cancer.  This disorder is covered under the immune system due to its direct relation to immune system damage as a cause. We will also go over some of the most common signs and symptoms of Kaposi’s Sarcoma along with potential complications of the disorder.  Finally we will go through medications and treatment methods including important nursing interventions regarding comfort, infection prevention, and isolation precautions.
