In this lesson, we will define labyrinthitis and assess what causes it.  We will identify risk factors for developing this acute ear condition along with prevention measures to include in client teaching.  Diagnostics used to confirm this diagnosis will be reviewed along with nursing interventions regarding the testing process. Nursing interventions for treating and managing symptoms will also be gone through including medications and side effects of medications that nurses need to assess for.   Lastly we will go over important client education topics to help prevent and manage symptoms of this disorder with a high focus on safety precautions.
