Leukemia

In this lesson, we review what leukemia is and identify four main types of the disorder.  We will look at some causes and risk factors for developing leukemia and summarize a variety of systemic signs and symptoms and diagnostic tests used to confirm the disease.  There is one main medical treatment for leukemia and we will go over nursing interventions to minimize complications and manage side effects of this treatment.
