Mechanical Ventilation

In this lesson we are going to talk about mechanical ventilation and why it is used to deliver oxygen for certain respiratory conditions.  We will identify some potential complications that mechanical ventilation cause that nurses need to monitor for. We will also discuss priority nursing assessments and interventions to help prevent complications.
