Medication Administration – Routes of Administration

In this lesson, we are going to review all of the different routes available for administering medications.  We will also go over how the different routes can affect drug absorption rates, which affects pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.

2. Review the medication absorption rate of medication administration routes
3. Describe how the first pass effect changes the bioavailability of medications
