Multiple Myeloma

In this lesson, we discuss what multiple myeloma is and how this type of cancer affects different systems in the body.  We will look at some causes and risk factors for developing this disorder and summarize signs and symptoms the clients may present with.   The nurse’s role in diagnostic testing will be reviewed along with interventions appropriate throughout the treatment stage of multiple myeloma.
