Myasthenia Gravis

In this lesson, we will review what myasthenia gravis is along with causes and risk factors for developing this serious neurological disorder.  We will discuss priority nursing assessments for signs and symptoms and a variety of testing methods used to confirm the diagnosis. Finally, we will identify the emergency and priority nursing interventions to focus on for safe practice when working with clients diagnosed with myasthenia gravis.
