Throughout this lesson, we will identify what Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is and some signs and symptoms of this cognitive disorder. We will review causes and risk factors for developing this form of anxiety disorder and distinguish between an obsession and a compulsion.  We will then review priority nursing interventions for working with clients with OCD including treatments, medications, and medication side effects to be familiar with.
