Otitis Media

In this content review, we will define otitis media and identify causes and risk factors for developing this ear disorder. We will go over the most common diagnostics used to confirm this disorder along with treatment methods for recurrent cases of otitis media.  Nursing interventions for treating and managing symptoms will also be gone through, including medications and side effects of medications that nurses need to assess for. Lastly we will go over important client education topics to help prevent and manage symptoms of this disorder with a high focus on safety precautions and infection prevention.
