Peritonitis

In this lesson, we will define peritonitis and identify some common causes and risk factors for developing this type of inflammatory gastrointestinal disorder.  We will also be discussing signs and symptoms, diagnostic testing and potential complications regarding the disorder. Finally, we will review priority nursing interventions and important client education to manage symptoms and prevent complications and aid in pain management.
