Pernicious Anemia

Throughout this lesson, we will define what pernicious anemia is and identify what can cause it.  We will then go over signs and symptoms of the disorder and review the diagnostic testing used to distinguish it from other types of anemia.  We will review the main medication used to treat this disorder along with dietary changes that can help prevent complications. Finally, we will review important client teaching topics regarding nutrition, preventing complications, and symptoms management.
