Pyloric Stenosis

In this lesson we will discuss what Pyloric Stenosis is, and the causes and possible risk factors, and how it is treated/managed. We’ll then talk about assessments, and priority nursing interventions, including client education.

1. Define pylorus and stenosis. Describe Pyloric Stenosis. Describe 2-4 signs and symptoms, and 2 possible complications.
2. Describe 2 causes or risk factors for Pyloric Stenosis,  2 methods of diagnosis, the most common type of treatment, and 2-3 priority nursing interventions.
