Radioactive Iodine Uptake

In this lesson, we are going to review why a radioactive iodine uptake scan is done and also look at some of the considerations that need to be taken prior to the testing to prevent complications.  We are also going to point out normal hormone levels and symptoms of potential complications that nurses are responsible for knowing. Finally, we will discuss important client education care topics after the procedure.
