Ringworm

Within this lesson, we will first define what ringworm is and what causes it.  You might be surprised to find out that it is not a worm at all. We will then identify some causes and risk factors for developing ringworm.  We will go through some of the most common signs and symptoms of ringworm including assessment and diagnostic techniques used to confirm the diagnosis.  Finally we will list some medications and treatment methods for ringworm including important nursing interventions and client teaching topics.
