Septic Shock
Before you start this lesson on Septic Shock, be sure you have already viewed the Main Course Content on the Cardiovascular System, the Cardiovascular System Anatomy & Physiology, and the Concepts of Perfusion lessons. Remember that this is a type of shock caused by a serious infection, so symptoms will include signs of a systemic infection, or an infection everywhere in the body, and signs of shock. Treatments must be aimed at treating not only shock, but also the causing infection.
