In this lesson, we will define types of sexual abuse and violence.  We will then explore some signs and symptoms of sexual violence and will determine the responsibility of the nurse in collecting evidence for abuse cases.  Finally we will review some potential complications of sexual violence and identify priority nursing interventions for caring for clients who have experienced sexual abuse or violence.
