In this lesson, we will first review what Stevens-Johnson Syndrome is and what causes it.  Be aware that this is a potentially life threatening condition. Next we will identify important signs and symptoms of this disorder that nurses need to be aware of to prevent serious complications.  We will explore priority nursing interventions for working with a client with Stevens-Johnson Syndrome along with medications and treatments that will be used to treat the disorder.
