The Respiratory System – Anatomy & Physiology Review

In this lesson, we will identify and describe the function of structures that make up the respiratory system.  Additionally, we will review how the respiratory system protects itself and the rest of the body from infection by a pathogen or invasion of foreign materials.  Finally, we will explore the mechanisms of breathing and introduce some causes and risk factors for developing a disorder of the respiratory system.
