Thyroid Scan

In this lesson, we are going to review why a thyroid scan is done and at some of the considerations that need to be taken prior to the testing.  We will also look at the important role the nurse plays before and after this procedure in preventing complications. We are also going to point out normal hormone levels and symptoms of potential complications that nurses are responsible for knowing.  Finally, we will discuss important client education topics after the procedure.
