TORCH Infections

In this lesson we will start with what TORCH Infections are, the causes and risks to mother and embryo/fetus. We will also cover ways to assess these infections, and the priority nursing interventions.

1. Name TORCH Infections (5 infections) and describe the risks of these infections to the fetus.
2. Describe 3-5 symptoms of infection to assess for.
3. Identify 2-3 nursing interventions.
