Tuberculosis

In this lesson we will start with the particular risks of Tuberculosis (TB) for children, then cover diagnostics, and treatments of TB. We will explore complications of the infection, nursing assessments and priority nursing interventions, including transmission precautions.

1. Define Tuberculosis, the difference between latent and active TB.
2. Describe modes of TB transmission and 1-2 complications.
3. Describe 3-5 symptoms of TB, identify a method of diagnosis & 1-2 treatments.
