In this lesson, we will look at an important part of the immune system, the white blood cell (WBC). We will review types of white blood cells along with the functions of each. We will then go over important information regarding normal lab values that will aid in diagnosis and treatment of many disorders.  Finally, we will go the role white blood cells play in the phases of the immune response to a foreign substance or allergen.
